March 2023 is HERE and I am SUPER Excited to Celebrate 5 Years with You All! 

   

It's hard to believe that half a decade has passed since we first set out on this journey, and I'm incredibly proud of everything that this team has achieved together. Building a cohesive team overnight is no easy feat, unless you come to the table with them, but we've managed to do just that because we have one common goal – providing reliable food safety assistance to our clients. And that goal has brought us together, united us, and made us stronger.  

When I jumped into entrepreneurship in 2018, it was just me. Now we have an internal team of 7 members and countless expert Senior Advisors that help us achieve our deliverables.  Success is not just about the numbers, it's about the people behind those numbers - the team that has worked tirelessly to build this company from the ground up. 

So, to all who have worked with us in the past and present, thank you for your contributions. You have helped us grow, learn, and overcome challenges along the way.  And to my internal team, a big shout out to you for your unwavering dedication and commitment. Your hard work has made this company what it is today, and I'm incredibly grateful for each one of you.

Michelle Davey, CFO 

Michelle joined the company in 2019 and is the master behind the administrative operations and financing. She truly fills the right-hand position well and I’m not sure how I survived even 1 year without her. She and I have known each other over 20 years and have supported each other throughout our careers. She has designed and now ensures we have a systematized approach to all our backend operations including finances, accounts receivables, accounts payable, legal processes, file sharing, IT management, and the advisor and client onboarding processes.  Her thoughtful approaches to each and every task has ensured we deliver exceptional services to our Senior Advisors and Clients alike.

Nancy Riley, Project Management Director

Nancy joined the team in late 2020 and has been drinking from a fire hose ever since. She embraced the Supplier Compliance Management and FSVP processes immediately and has streamlined it to a well-oiled machine that every client appreciates. And the advisors adore Nancy as well due to her detailed follow ups, guidance, and the facilitation of a monthly meeting we have with the team discussing topics such as the challenges of remote work and personal growth. Nancy captures the culture and spirit of our company and shares it with every person she encounters.

Hivi Yasin-Damaren, Business Development Director

Hivi joined the team in 2021, and immediately jumped into business development tasks with both feet. She comes to us from the hospitality industry, which quickly became a beloved trait to our clients. They love working with her and the way she provides individualized and customized care to each person and their teams. Hivi manages marketing, sales, recruitment of new advisors and is everyone’s cheerleader. Her laugh is contagious, and her marketing and sales strategies are taking us to new heights. We are excited to see how the company continues to grow with her overseeing business development!

Angela Anderson, Finance/HR Coordinator 

Angela started in 2020 as a contractor, and officially joined the SFER team in 2021. She is one of the most detail-oriented people you’ll meet crossing every 'T' and dotting every 'I'. She’s a perfect fit for working on our finance team and assisting Michelle with onboarding advisors and team members. Angela is a bull-dog when it comes to getting the correct information and has assisted with projects such as WBENC/WOSB certifications and business registrations. We are grateful to have her diligence on our team to protect the integrity of our team and processes!

Charity Godfrey, Executive Assistant to CEO 

Charity joined us in 2022 and has been dynamically managing me ever since! Charity and I were instant friends when I worked at Kroger and she was at the John Morrell company. We met because of the challenges that happen in any corporate environment with siloed processes and mass data exchange. Because of our history, Charity is a perfect addition to our team having a blend of food industry and Food Safety Program knowledge, along with being an Executive Assistant to the VP of Food Safety. Those skills and knowledge accelerated her ability to fit into the team easily!

Robert Monteforte, Technical Project Manager 

Robert started out as a Senior Advisor to our team and just officially joined the internal operations team in January! He comes to us with a very strong background in food safety and process improvement from Frito Lay, and he was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy as well. We are already so impressed with what he has taken on and learned. He has embraced our processes, stepped fully into leading food safety technical portion of our business, and is currently working on improving our FSQ consulting programs. He fits in so well with our culture, clients, and Senior Advisors. We are excited to see him build out our processes even more.

As we look towards the future, I'm excited about what's to come. Together, we will continue to innovate, grow, and lead the way in Food Safety. I can't wait to see what we will achieve in the next 5 years and beyond!
